My girlfriend and I decided to go watch a movie in Hoyts Chatswood last night, so we showed up about 20 minutes before the movie. Had a coffee while we waited, watched the movie. We really enjoyed the experience of watching the movie on the big screen again after lockdown. So we decided to watch another movie which was starting in 40 minutes. So we got our tickets and went to get dinner (in the shopping centre). So after the second movie we were getting out of the car park and we been charged $60 as we been there for about 6.5 hours. I feel robbed, sounds like by spending more time and money in the shopping centre you get penalised by heavy parking fees. It used to be free unlimited parking after 6pm there (which I didn’t even know that it’s no longer a thing). To make it even worse, there were hardly any cars in there, so I do not see a reason why they charge such a crazy amount for parking, so I can literally come and spend my money there and get ripped off on parking. If you plan to charge so much, at least put up huge clear signs! SHOPPERS BEWARE, YOU WILL GET SCREWED ON PARKING AND DURING BUSY PART OF THE DAY IT MAY TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE PARKING LOT, SO YOU GOT AN HOUR LEFT FOR YOUR SHOPPING ON FREE PARKING OR BE PREPARED FOR WESTFIELD TO SHAFT YOU FOR PARKING!
