Tramsheds is a unique food and lifestyle destination in Sydney, Australia, that is housed in the former historic Rozelle Tram Depot. The depot was originally built in 1904 and was once home to over 200 trams. It was closed in 1958 and fell into disrepair until it was restored and reopened as Tramsheds in 2016. Tramsheds is located at 1 Dalgal Way, Forest Lodge, NSW 2037, just five kilometres from the Sydney CBD where Glebe meets Annandale. It is situated on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, the traditional custodians of the land, and acknowledges their enduring connection to the land, waters and culture. Tramsheds opened to the public in September 2016 as Sydney’s most exciting food and lifestyle destination, featuring 17 restaurants from some of Sydney’s most forward-thinking chefs, artisans and provedores.
Tramsheds is owned and managed by Mirvac Group, a leading Australian property group that creates, owns and manages a diverse portfolio of assets across the office, retail, industrial and residential sectors. Tramsheds has 17 restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines and experiences, from casual to fine dining. The featured restaurants are: Bodega 1904, Bekya, China Diner, Fish & Co, GarçonGelato Messina, Pizza by Palle. Tramsheds also has seven community-based vendors that provide services such as: Nail Artistry Co, Supamart, Anytime Fitness, Tramsheds Medical Practice, The Depot Barber and more. Tramsheds offers a diverse range of dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks, drinks and desserts. The opening hours of the restaurants vary, but generally they are open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm from Monday to Sunday. Tramsheds also hosts a weekly growers market every Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, where visitors can buy fresh and local produce and wares from artisan vendors. Tramsheds has a car park that can accommodate up to 300 vehicles. Tramsheds is easily accessible by public transport, as it is located near several bus stops and light rail stations.
