In May last year I purchased a $1400 gold ring for my wife, over the past 12 months she has only occasionally worn it, but recently attended a concert in Newcastle and wore it. During the performance, after applauding, she felt a sharp pain in the finger with the ring on it, she is over 60, so nothing too wild. Her and her friends looked to see the gold ring had disfigured and was cutting into her finger. Upon seeking advise from the jeweller she endured the worst customer service possible, with the jeweller suggesting the damage had been done with a hammer, they are fixing some of the "damage" reluctantly but I would not advise anyone to deal with these people, it is buyer beware.
