Yesterday, I purchased goods using my debit card. The transaction went through but the server told me it would have to be redone as her cash draw had opened and that the till would be out because a debit had not taken place. She informed me that the same thing had happened to someone else earlier in the day. The transaction was redone. Once home, I checked my internet banking, the amount had been debited twice. I rang, was asked to provide evidence of the double transaction but told that nothing could be done until the person who could rectify the situation came in in the morning. Today, I returned to Trims and they were apologetic. They told me the money would have to be refunded using the original card. My card was run through. I have just returned home to find yet another debit to my account. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
