Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is a major shopping centre in Broadbeach Waters on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is Queensland’s second-largest shopping centre and the fifth-largest nationally. Pacific Fair offers an outstanding collection of luxury, high-street fashion, dining and bar experiences, plus a world-class indoor/outdoor leisure and entertainment precinct and around 349 specialty stores. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is located on Hooker Boulevard, near the Star Gold Coast casino and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is also close to the beach and the Broadbeach entertainment precinct. Pacific Fair is easily accessible by public transport, with a bus interchange and a light rail station nearby.
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre was developed by Hooker Retail Developments and opened in 1977 on what was swampland with 96 specialty stores and two anchor tenants. The shopping centre was designed to resemble a tropical oasis, with water features, palm trees and a monorail. The shopping centre underwent several expansions and renovations over the years, adding more stores, cinemas, a food court and a car park. In 2014, Pacific Fair embarked on a major redevelopment project worth $670 million, transforming it into a world-class shopping destination with a resort-style design. The redevelopment was completed in 2016 and added more than 100 new stores, including international brands such as H&M, Zara, Uniqlo and Sephora. The redevelopment also introduced The Resort, an outdoor leisure precinct with a pool, cabanas, day beds and live entertainment; The Patio, an alfresco dining precinct with a range of cuisines; The Boulevard, a street-style fashion precinct with flagship stores; and The Arcade, an indoor entertainment precinct with a bowling alley, arcade games and karaoke. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre has a range of dining options to suit different tastes and occasions. Some of the restaurants and cafes in the shopping centre include: Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co., BiN 232, Grill’d, Schnitz, The Coffee Club. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is open seven days a week, the general opening hours are: Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 5:30pm, Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday to Saturday: 9am to 5:30pm, Sunday: 9am to 5pm. Pacific Fair has a free shopping shuttle that operates daily from Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Mermaid Beach. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is easily accessible by public transport, with a bus interchange and a light rail station nearby. You can also drive to the shopping centre and park at the onsite car park. You can park your car at the onsite car park, which has over 6 500 spaces and offers free parking for up to five hours on weekdays and three hours on weekends.
