The Original Eumundi Markets is an art and craft market in Eumundi, Queensland, Australia. It is located at 80 Memorial Drive, Eumundi QLD 4562. It is the biggest and the best artisan market in Australia, renowned for its locally made treasures. The market was founded in 1979 by three local women who wanted to create a place for local artists and craftspeople to sell their products. The first market had only three stalls and eight visitors. Today, the market has over 600 stalls and attracts more than 1.6 million visitors every year. The market has a policy of “make it, bake it, sew it, grow it”, which means that all the products sold at the market are locally made by the stallholders themselves. The market also supports local community groups and charities through various initiatives. The Original Eumundi Markets is owned and managed by Eumundi & District Historical Association (EDHA), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to preserve and promote the heritage and culture of Eumundi and its surrounding district. The Original Eumundi Markets has over 600 stalls that offer a wide range of products and services, from art and craft to fashion and jewellery, from food and drink to health and wellness.
