I am very unhappy. Yesterday I contacted this salon which I have been a client of for some time and made an appointment for today at 12 noon. Obviously my day was planned around this appointment. So I travelled into Mackay to meet this appointment at the planned time. With plans for my afternoon in place following the appointment. I arrived at the salon punctually and was seen to and advised that I may have to wait 5-10 minutes. I agreed to this but no more than 10 minutes as I have plans and my husband was waiting for me. When the hairdresser assigned to doing my hair (trim) was advised I had arrived for my appointment she looked stunned as if I had put her out and stated she had to complete the haircut she was doing and she had another customer waiting. At this point I became a little annoyed and reminded her that I had an appointment and was not a walk in. I have visited this salon on numerous occasions without an appointment and been asked to come back in 15 or 30 minutes which I understand as I never made an appointment. So today I have an appointment clearly in the book, however a walk in gets a priority over a person with an appointment. Very disappointing service or clear lack of.
