Please find my cream leather calf-high heeled boots - missing since August(?) last year and always told that they are in storage and someone will call me. I hate leaving negative reviews but these were purchased in Denmark over 10ths ago and are irreplaceable. :(

Please be aware that he is leaving the centre and moving to West End. Also changing the business name to A Cobblers Inn. If you have shoes or item you need I would advise to get in this week or they could be gone forever

My experience mirrors all of the other 1 star reviews here. Many lies, refusing to return property after returning multiple times, he's had my property for 2 weeks. I provided the ticket which he took. He asked me to return in 10 minutes, so he could 'get my shoes from upstairs'. When I returned in 10, he told me to leave and accused me of harassment. No kidding. I was pleasant and polite. When I offered to wait all afternoon at the centre (nicely) to give him a moment to pop upstairs he escalated, shouted aggressively that I was not allowed to be near his stall. I feel too afraid to go back and filed a police report. Please NEVER use this service. I encourage all posters to file a police report given the a) volume of missing wares and b) the verbal abuse involved. If I could give zero stars I would. Cheers.

Initially great service but then lost my grear, told me to come back in 10, and when I did, was bewildered and angry, told me to go away. I feel nervous to collect my things and think he may need a dementia exam.

Appalling service. Shoes been in for almost four months. Lots of promises to call and find them but my shoes have not materialised. I have NOT lost my ticket - contrary to other reviewers. I have the ticket and have produced it every time. Expensive leather shoes have undoubtedly been lost as each time Wayne fails to produce them. The mobile number on the ticket does not allow messages so you have to physically go to the shop each time. I wanted to support local due to covid etc but have been completely let down and treated terribly.

I wish I had of read these reviews first. I dropped a pair of shoes off 2 months ago and was told leas than a week. I went back four times and then simply requested for them back and was yelled at and treated in a quite frightening and aggressive way. I did get my shoes back however they had not had any work started on them. I am in disbelief of the whole ordeal. Never use this business.

This man is amazing, I highly recommend him. Any shoe I give him he will do there is no shoe that he can’t repair. He has great prices. The reason why these people have got bad reviews is because he gives you a ticket and if you loose the ticket he may loose your shoes but he will end up finding them so for the people that give him bad reviews it’s really your foot for loosing the ticket.

Do not EVER leave shoes with this business. Dropped a pair of heels in a month ago and have tried on 6 occasions to retrieve them, on each occasion a new excuse is given as to why they're not ready or in store, while at the same time the owner feigns not to remember me or my shoes. Absolute joke. NEVER again.

I highly recommend this shoe repair shop, nothing is too much trouble for the owner of this business. He has repaired countless heels, the peeling on the outside of my shoe and even sourced new straps and bows so I can still wear the shoes I love

This place is an absolute joke. The staff are rude and arrogant and the 'service' is abysmal. Had three pairs of shoes for over four months and only repaired two pairs. Also 'lost' an expensive Italian handbag. Yeah, right.

AWFUL service. Has had my boots several months. Empty promises of phone calls when to collect my boots when he's found them....well I'm still waiting. I've been back to the shop several times to check on my boots...I think they're lost to be honest. Do yourself a favour and DON'T use this repairer.

I have same experience as everyone else. I have been back several times to collect my expensive winter boots. They can't find them. They say they will call me soon when they are ready , not once have they called. I think I'll go straight to fair trading. I'd give half a star if I could! Terrible service. Would never use again.

Very bad. They kept two pairs of my shoes more than 6 weeks. I asked if they are ready for picking up three times. But no answer, even once. So I gave up and asked them to throw away my shoes.

Do NOT use this repairer. My boots have been there for 5 months. Excuses ranged from lockdowns (he had the boots for 3 weeks prior to a lockdown, illness, the state of his untidy shop (how was this my fault). He became rude and aggressive. He was clearly not able to keep up with the current workload however everytime I went to check on my boots he was accepting more work from poor unsuspecting people. Anyone who has not had their property returned lodge a complaint with fair trading on 07 4923 8710. I have done this and apparently can collect my boots on Monday! Oh and I am getting charged $65! What a joke

Please be warned - do not take shoes for repair. Owner - so-called business operator has lost them and won't admit...4 times I've been to collect and he keeps telling me to come back at times I can't or days when he's not even open. Rude and doesn't seem to care about inconvenience to customers or that he's lost the property entrusted to him. Should see the shop...professional hoarder. Take your shoes anywhere else if you want to see them again...

Lost shoes but no acceptance of this fact. Four months I’ve been trying to get back two pairs of winter shoes put in for new soles. He can not find them, but when I get angry he tells me I have the problem. Go anywhere but here! Incompetent!

Terrible service, do not go here. Said it would take a few days to fix the button and a zipper on pants, took 2.5 weeks of persistence contact to finally get them back. Very rude over the phone, do not recommend.

Horrible shoe repair shop, took himself off Google because overwhelming bad reviews. Has had my shoes for months with constant promise of there return and has failed to deliver after me coming in coming on 20 times (I counted this is the real amount). The last time I came in he lost his patience at me for wanting my shoes back.

Worst place in the world. Said it would take him 1 week to fix my RMS and still haven’t gotten them back 6 months later. This is my 5th time coming back and he said “he may have lost them”. Asked me if I wanted another pair of shoes that looked “like” them.... so does that mean he was going to give someone else’s shoes to me? Worst place is always lying and saying they will be ready that day.... I come back that day and they are never ready. Waiting here and told someone not to come here.... he also said he’s been waiting for 6 months..... such a joke.

The worst service!! Do not get your shoes repaired here. They had my leather boots for over a month. I went in weekly. Ans was told by the owners, to come in again next week. This guys is a CROOK.. do not use them for shoe Repairs. I had to do a police report but never saw my leather shoes again.

A really scary experience. In late November 2020, I gave Wayne a single pair of shoes to have the soles replaced and removal of surface stains which he said would take 5 days. Every week for the next 2 months I called in to see if they were ready and was constantly provided with a litany of excuses, where Wayne's behaviour became increasingly rude and dismissive. After discussing with a neighbour who had had similar experiences with him, I demanded the shoes back. One and half hours later after refusing to leave Paddington Central until my shoes were returned, I received them. The soles had been replaced but the stains had not been removed and noted that there were new stains that had not been on these suede shoes when I handed them over in late November. The confrontation to get my shoes back was frightening and exhausting. I was treated with contempt and told that 'they're just shoes what is the big problem'. There was clearly no respect or appreciation for my property and, that I was choosing to support a local small business owner.
