Highpoint Shopping Centre is a super regional shopping centre located in Maribyrnong, Victoria, in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. It is situated at 120-200 Rosamond Road, near the intersection of Rosamond Road and Wiltshire Drive. The centre was opened in 1975 as Highpoint West, and has undergone several expansions and renovations since then. The most recent development was completed in 2013, adding a new fashion precinct, a fresh food market, a cinema complex and a dining hall. Highpoint Shopping Centre is owned by the GPT Group, an Australian property investment company that also owns Melbourne Central and Casuarina Square. The GPT Group has a 50% stake in the centre, while the remaining 50% is owned by the Highpoint Property Group, a private company controlled by the Besen family. Highpoint Shopping Centre has over 419 specialty fashion, homewares and lifestyle stores, making it one of the largest shopping centres in Australia. Some of the major retailers include Myer, David Jones, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Apple, Zara, H&M and Uniqlo. The centre also has a range of services, such as banks, post office, medical centre, dental clinic, optometrist, travel agency and more. Highpoint Shopping Centre offers a variety of dining options for shoppers, from casual cafes and takeaway outlets to fine dining restaurants and bars. The centre has a food court on level 2 with over 20 eateries, such as McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, Sushi Sushi. On level 3, there is a dining hall called The Atrium, which features a range of cuisines from around the world, such as Thai, Indian, Italian, Mexican and more. The Atrium also has a state-of-the-art playground for children to enjoy while their parents dine. For those looking for a more sophisticated dining experience, Highpoint Shopping Centre has several restaurants and bars on level 1, such as Grill’d, Nando’s, Guzman y Gomez, The Groove Train. Highpoint Shopping Centre is open seven days a week, the general opening hours are: Monday-Wednesday: 9am - 6:00pm, Thursday and Friday: 9am - 9pm, Saturday: 9am - 7pm, Sunday: 10am - 6pm.
Highpoint Shopping Centre is Victoria’s third largest shopping centre and the fifth largest in Australia, with an annual turnover of $778 million and over 15 million shoppers visiting each year. Highpoint Shopping Centre has a cinema complex with 18 screens, including an IMAX theatre and a Gold Class lounge. The cinema is operated by Hoyts and shows the latest movies and events. Highpoint Shopping Centre has a Lego Certified Store on level 3, which is one of only four Lego stores in Australia. The store features exclusive products, interactive displays, build zones and a Pick-a-Brick wall. Highpoint Shopping Centre has over 7300 car spaces available for shoppers, with free parking for the first three hours. The car park is divided into different zones, such as blue, green, red and yellow, and has signs and indicators to help shoppers find their way. Its ok but girls as in parents would shop in all those stores for about 15-25 minutes each
