I've been to MANY optometrists all over Australia, in the last 55 years, including Royal Colleges also... and let me just tell you, the team at SPECSAVERS POINT COOK ARE THE BEST!..... and not by a little, by a great big old style country mile. Smiles, advice, lots of frames, plenty of choices as to colour, materials, full, half or no rim, best machines, competent operators (optoms).. I saw Bianca and Nelly on all of my visits, and as time progressed, disclosed my knowledge of things such as refractive index of glass, sphere, cylinder, (and they taught me prism). My script is mid-range, and uneven, I have a bad zig-zag shaped astigmatism in my right eye. NO PROBLEMO they said, we'll have it fixed in a jiffy. They have even warned me about the early detection of the onset of cataracts due to age (sixty). Nothing to worry about for maybe seven years, and by then, with advances in optometrically developed medicines (maybe genetic) the cataracts may simply be dissolved, without need of any invasive operation. I'm really locking forward to seeing those girls again, when I pickup my glasses, maybe later today or possibly tomorrow. Access is simple, just go round the the back out on the Boardwalk Boulevarde, and pull into the underground carpark of Woolworths. Always plenty of spaces there, and its free. Take the the escalator or the lift up to the shopping area, and just look around, where you'll see them (if your are eyes are not TOO bad) within twenty meters. If you have REALLY bad vision, just ask anyone, Point Cook people are friendly.
