In a few words: underwhelmed, disappointed, frustrated and extremely unhappy. I would not recommend this shop for your party decorations if you want a reliable, punctual and accurate service. I understand the difficulties that a small family business faces and I do not take making such a harsh review lightly however the service and product I received from this place was at the very least awful and I will be going out of my way to tell people to avoid this place for your party needs. On the 18th of February, more than a month before my event, I went into this business and placed an order of over $400 which I paid for in full at this time. This order included a variety of balloons, a welcome sign and hire of some equipment. At the time of palcing the order, I spoke with Janine in depth about my requirements and we discussed the design she would draft for the welcome sign. I was told she would email me the designs promptly. I then messaged this business on the 1st of March and again on the 18th of March when I still hadn’t heard anything from the business about my design. I was eventually sent designs on 18th of March however they were just examples of other designs and not at all what we had discussed, presumedly because it had been such a long time (a month) since we discussed what I was after. Despite this, I then decided not to make a big fuss and chose a design I liked quickly, in the hopes that it would be completed quickly so I could give it the OK and be sure about the design I would be receiving come the event – in just 5 days time, despite paying and ordering all the items a month earlier. I still didn’t hear anything despite my prompt reply until THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT AT 5.30PM. At this time, Janine sent me back the design and I approved them, despite not being entirely happy because I was extremely anxious and worried that she would not be ready on time – given her track record at this point. I also arranged with her at this time for pickup. The next day, I attended the shop with my partner, extremely tense and wary about what would happen. When I went in, not only did I hear Janine and another worker out the back talking about my order and me personally quite rudely, but the actual order wasn’t ready as agreed. They then informed me that they would deliver the items to my function venue down the road when they were complete within the next couple of hours. Just wait, it gets worse… I was given the easel to take back to the hall myself, awaiting the delivery of the rest of the order. However, low and behold, another error. When I set up the easel, it was missing an essential part – the part of the easel that holds up the sign… I rang the store back and was told they would deliver the missing part when they delivered the rest of the order later. I received the items at the hall about three/fours hours later, later than promised. Not only that but the personalised balloons I ordered which were to say ‘CONGRATULATIONS TOM & CLAIRE’ had a spelling error, instead saying ‘conTgratulations’. I mean, come on! Not only did I not hear back from you with a design until the day before my event but you made a litany of mistakes on the actual day, including a spelling error on the personalised balloons of one of the most common words you would be writing in a party business… When I returned the items today, I told the owner about the mistake calmly. He replied ‘that’s not ideal’ and refunded the bond I had paid for the items I hired. So despite the mistakes aplenty, including the error made on the personalised balloons which guests were commenting about all night, no refund or anything at all was offered and I didn’t even receive an apology. The only upsides that I can think of from this entire experience is: I now know never to rely on this business again and at least in a few years, I might get a laugh or two from this ridiculous experience.

Had a horrible experience today - the Male who owns the store was rude and just plain horrible to deal with. I was enquiring about pricing of their balloons and I felt I was under attack with every word I said. He was trying to make fun of the words I used and him and his son were just laughing! NEVER AGAIN will I ever enter foot in that store. I recommend no one else does either - horrid service and plain rude - he clearly doesn't care about customer service. I walked out of there feeling humiliated while him and his son had a laugh. Shocking shocking shocking service!
